Stuart is an English qualified solicitor with over 20 years of experience in corporate and financial structuring, M&A, banking, private equity and shareholder disputes. Stuart brings wealth of expertise in managing complex corporate structuring and solvency matters. He has advised banks, borrowers, regulated fund & investment managers and family offices.

Beginning his career in England, where he specialised in contentious and non-contentious restructuring & insolvency and corporate recovery, Stuartthen moved to the Middle East with Clyde & Co and to A&O Shearman before taking up the role as Legal Director within a Dubai Group Islamic private equity company. There he acted upon the investment and establishment of two large Retakaful insurers and various private equity investments.

Stuart then held roles as General Counsel within the Emirates NBD Banking Group over 11 years ultimately as being appointed as GC of Emirates NBD Banking Group, during which time he was a permanent member of the banks credit committee and took the legal lead relating to major debt restructuring and asset recovery projects.

At Altrex, Stuart leads the firm's Legal and Financial Structuring practice, combining technical excellence with commercial insight. His ability to simplify complex issues and develop pragmatic, value-oriented solutions makes him a trusted advisor to financial institutions, private equity firms, and corporates navigating dynamic regulatory landscapes.

Scott is a seasoned construction and infrastructure advisor with over 35 years of experience in delivering and advising on complex projects across the GCC and Australasia. Formally, Head of Construction and Infrastructure at Al Tamimi, Scott is recognized as one of the region’s foremost experts in construction law and project delivery, he has acted as a strategic advisor to government bodies, developers, and international contractors.

Scott has worked on landmark developments including national infrastructure, cultural landmarks, and mixed-use urban projects. His expertise covers contract and claims risk management, procurement strategy and documentation, contract negotiation, contract administration systems and advice, contractual notice and correspondence drafting, claims preparation and presentation, dispute resolution and negotiation, ensuring that projects progress efficiently, transparently, and within regulatory frameworks.

Known for his collaborative, innovative and solutions-driven approach, Scott’s work blends legal precision with operational practicality, helping clients navigate challenges and manage risk from contract inception through completion.

Robert Richards — Consulting Partner, Leadership & HR Development

Robert is a former Royal Marines Commando and executive leadership specialist with over five decades of experience developing senior leaders and leadership capability across 20 countries.

 Having coached and developed more than 1,250 leaders at senior management and C-suite level, Robert brings a rare depth of lived experience to leadership development, human capital strategy, and organisational effectiveness. His clients have included the world's largest exchange house, national telecommunications operators, and government entities, working at the level where leadership judgment, accountability, and culture determine institutional outcomes.

Robert is a certified executive coach credentialed by Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centred Coaching® and the International Coaching Federation (ICF), two of the most recognised standards in the global coaching profession. His approach is direct, observational, and built around the individual, never formulaic.

 He is also the author of a forthcoming book exploring how leadership behaviours are inherited, often unconsciously, from the people and institutions that shaped us. It is an observational, thought-provoking work drawn from five decades of watching leaders up close, not a prescriptive guide.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) with over 30 years in the construction industry, Brendan is widely respected for his expertise in cost management, procurement strategy, and project delivery. Having worked across Europe and the Middle East, including 17 years in the UAE, he offers a global perspective on the commercial and operational drivers of successful developments.

As Managing Director of Shield Contract Services, Brendan has overseen the delivery of high-value projects across sectors including residential, hospitality, and retail, managing more than USD 1.2 billion in development value. His approach emphasises rigorous cost control, transparent reporting, and stakeholder alignment, enabling clients to achieve institutional-grade quality while maintaining commercial efficiency.

At Altrex, Brendan leads the Development and Cost Management division, ensuring that every project benefits from precision planning, market benchmarking, and best-practice execution. His reputation for delivering projects on time and within budget — often at 10–15% below market averages — reflects his deep understanding of cost dynamics and commitment to long-term client success.
